Frances Morehead says "Grandma was quite a bit shorter than Grandpa." Came to this country when she was 18/19.

Frances Kirsop in letter to Frances Morehead June 5, 1972: “No, Mother never had a French accent; she gave short a’s the dot about the a pronunciation, which was very pretty, but she dropped the h’s and put them on: a hedge was an “edge’, and one “oed” the garden. The Chicago fire was in 1871. I recall that Mother’s family could see the Crystal Palace from their house.
