On 3 Oct 1867, Emily married John Wesley Whitfield in Tishomingo County, MS where several of her siblings moved after the Civil War ended. Emily Pollard Whitfield died 26 Oct 1923 in Burnsville, Tishomingo, Mississippi. She is buried in Little Flock Cemetery, in Leedy, Tishomingo County, MS. Her FAG memorial is 40108940.
