Facts and Events
In 1622, Thomas Rogers' widow "Elsgen Rogiers" and her daughters "Lijsbett" and "Grietgen" (Alice, Elizabeth, and Margaret) are named in a tax list as living in the back part of the house belonging to Anthony Clements, a member of the Separatist congregation. The name before the women is "Jan Thomasz" or, John, son of Thomas, identified as an orphan from England. See Leiden Records, NEHGR 143:207 (July 1989). References
