Wife Sarah K. is 53 from Kentucky and their children are O. D., 28, farm laborer; Martha, 22; Erastus, 21; and Ellen H., 2 [grandchild by Oscar?]. {p. 44, dwelling 676, family 690}

  In the 1880 census for Prairie Green, Iroquois Co., Illinois, 'A. M. Powal' is a farmer, age 34 from Indiana (father England, mother New York). His wife Marth A. is 34 born Indiana (father Maryland, mother Kentucky).  Living with them are [her mother] Sarah Shankland, widow, age 57 from Kentucky (father Maryland, mother Pennsylvania) and [her niece by brother Oscar?] Ella Shankland, age 12, born Illinois (parents Indiana), as well as Albert Bart, farmer, age 18 from Indiana (parents Baden).  [Albert may be related to Martha's brother Oscar's second wife Mary Kate Bart.] {NARA T9-0214, p.341d}

 According to an IGI report, she married Martin Mahon and had children Roscoe, Orlie, and Percy in Hall, Nebraska.
