Her father Johan Daniel Zech was b. 1756 in Berks City PA. Johan Zech's parents were Jacob Zech II, b. Wirtenberg Germany, and Ana Maria Catherine Kohler, b. Holland. Some people have her mother's last name as Frey instead of Fry.

   Elizabeth Zech Miller, mother of Garrett and Elijah Samuel Miller, was born April 1, 1808 in Somerset Co. PA and died January 21, 1901 in Beaver Township at the age of 92 years 9 months. She was wife of Christian Miller who emigrated with his family from Parke Co. IN to Guthrie Co. in 1853 and settled on Beaver with the little colony from the same county and neighborhood. Of this little colony of 18 heads of families who settled along Beaver only six are now living: Thomas M. Coleman, Garrett Miller, Henry Mains, mother, Rufa Ann Miller, Isabelle Miller and Mother Branson.
