'In 1826 John and Elizabeth Stewart emigrated to Canada from Dunmanys County Cork Ireland. ... Elizabeth lived until 1864 dying at the age of 82.'

'William Stewart ... was born in County Cork, Ireland, 1815, and in 1827 came to the New World with his parents, John and Eliza (Willis) Stewart, the former a native of Scotland, the latter of County Cork, Ireland. ... 5. 5.0 5.1 Family records or research of correspondent.

'I visited the Academy Hill cemetery in Haldimand Township and photographed the new plaque that Jack was instrumental in having erected to replace the original weathered inscription.'

    The plaque says:
    'STEWART
    1780 John Stewart 1831
    1786 wife Elizabeth 1861
    1816 son Benjamin 1861'

Inscription from the photo of the original tombstone:
'ELIZABETH ... [wife/widow of] JOHN STEWART died Jan 19 1864 aged 78 years'

The date on the original tombstone is difficult to read (the "1864" looks very much like "1861") but according to another source the year was clearly "1864" in photographs taken some years earlier when the tombstone was less weathered.

  6. Family records or research of correspondent.

'As far as Elizabeth Willis’s death date, ie: 1861 or 1864? She died January 19th, 1864 at the age of 78. This was confirmed in several photographs taken of her headstone that clearly showed, at that time, the last two numbers of her death year read “64”. Further, within the headstone inscription appears “aged 78”.'
