  3.   Source:Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Deaths in Boston 1700 to 1799, mentions a death date of 2 Mar 1712 for "Elizabeth Davenport, wf. of Addington". This is a mistake, and is meant to refer to Elizabeth, the first wife of Isaac Addington. The entry cites two sources, neither of which appear to make sense. First, it cites the NEHGR article on Eleazer DavenportS2, "p. 111 ff", which does not say this, and shows only one wife Elizabeth for Addington Davenport, having children both before and after this date, and being mentioned in her husband's will of 1736 and writing her own will in 1756. Second it mentions "Family of Elder Thomas Leverett" by Nathaniel B. Shurtleff, "p. 121 ff.", which is a subsequent article in the same issue of NEHGR, and which doesn't seem to mention any Davenport at all?? The only place the given date 2 Mar 1712 is found is in an article separating the two cited ones in Volume 4 of NEHGR, "Notes on the Addington Family", p. 118, where it says "Mrs. Elizabeth Addington was admitted to the first church, 28. 3. 1671. She died on the 2d of March, 1712 (O.S.) at the age of 76. His [Judge Addington's] second wife, to whom he was married by the Rev. Benjamin Colman, November 19th, 1713, was Madam Elizabeth Wainwright...", which is clearly not referring to Elizabeth (Wainwright) Davenport, but to the first wife of her mother's second husband.
