Thomas³ Treadwell (Thomas², Thomas¹), born in Ipswich, Mass., 3 Mch., 1665-6, died in Ipswich, 13 Jan., 1743-4, married first, Mary -----; and married second, before 19 May, 1693, Frances, born 3 Nov., 1670, died in Ipswich, Oct., 1744, daughter of William and (? Ruth) Sawyer of Newbury, Mass. He was a shoemaker, and designated "Jr.", 1689-1712.

"'The last will & Testam^t of Elizabeth Sherratt y^e wife of Hugh Sherratt of Haverhill formerly y^e wife & Relict of Humphrey Griffyn made July y^e 30th 1670 Imprimis I giue vnto my Sonne John Griffyn my feather bed bolster, pillow rugg, blankett & curtaines & vallance pvided y^t hee deliver to his brother Nathaniell: y^t feather bed bolster & covering pper to y^e same w^ch hee hath now in his owne use I giue also to my Sonne John one of my pewter platters my brass morter my warming pan & Iron pott: I will also y^t my Sone John shall pay to goodman White y^t debt that I owe to his wife w^ch shalbe payd out of y^e moouables y^t I haue giuen to him by this my will: I giue to my Sone Nathaniell Griffyn my Cowe & w^t said Cowe & y^e bed w^ch hee is to haue of his brother John comes short of tenn pounds it shal bee made up to him by my Executo^r out of my other estate & in case y^t my Sone John shall not lett his brother Nathaniell haue his bed as abousd then my will is that my Sone Nath^ll shall haue y^t bed y^t now is mine w^ch in case I haue giuen to my Sone John: I giue to my Sone Sam^ll Griffyn my yearling heifer & w^t y^t also comes short of tenn pounds shalbee made vp by my executo^r I giue to my Daughter Lidia Griffyn my gowne & my petticoat and my searge hood I giue to my Daughter Elizabeth Deare my cloake I giue & bequeath to my seuen grand Childeren y^t are now liueing y^t is to say to my Sone Deares fower & to my Sone Johns three the sum of fiue pounds a peece if my estate & moouables not allready ordered in this my will after my owne pper debts bee discharged also will amount thervnto and if my estate shall come short when my legasies to my sons are payd then my will is y^t w^t I haue not in this my will ordered shalbee equally divided amongst my said grand children I Constitute my Sonne John my lawful Execute^r of this my last will & Testament In wittness herevnto I haue to this my will sett my hand y^e dav first aboue mentioned.'

Inventory of the estate of Elizabeth Sharatt, late wife of Heugh Sharatt, deceased, taken by James Pecker and Edward Clark: a feather bead & boulster. 2li. 5s.; a Cow & year & vantege, halfer, 6li.; one peuter pleater, 4s.; 32li. payeable a year after the desece of Heugh Sharatt, 32li.; curtins & veliants, 10s.; a bead Ruge, 1li. 5s.; a box, 3s.; total, 42li. 7s.

James Pecker testified that as touching the 32li. and the cowe and heffer they assigned to it as given in by John Griffin.
