    Mrs Elizabeth Ebbott
    on Sunday last, at home of her son -in- law Mr T.C.Holding, Glenview Ave, Malvern, there passed into the Eternal Presence at seven o'clock, the hour of worship, Elizabeth Ebbott, widow of the late Phillip H.Ebbott. Mr and Mrs Ebbott were a saintly couple who are remembered with affection by many at Long Gully, Northcote and Malvern, where they spent most of their lives, where they served God and their generation with earnestness and devoutness. Mr Ebbott died eight years ago at the age of 85 years. Now at the advanced age of 90, Mrs Ebbott has gone to join him. She was born in Cornwall where she was converted at an early age and joined the Wesleyan Methodist Church. Coming to Victoria in the early sixties, she and her husband linked up God the Church in this land. At a recent Centenary celebrations, Mrs Ebbott was credited with having the longest record of membership of any member of the Methodist Church. Her children God her many friends will cherish her memory. Truly she being dead yet speaketh.
