Letter 16 Sep 1904, Alexander Reese to Cousin A. A. Graham My father died 14 May 1842 of Cholera on board the steamer Caspian—a Red River Packet. He was enroute for Texas—where he expected to purchase land and locate. He was 55 years old. My mother died in Pleasant Hill, MO Aug 1865, age 65. She came to Mo with me in 1855.
