Obit: Mrs Marshall Morrow from near Athensville, IL: Elizabeth, daughter of the late Benjamin and Lucinda Scott, was born Feb 17, 1838, at the Scott homestead in Rubicon Twp, and died at her home in Athensville, Aug 19, 1915, aged 77 years, 6 months and 2 days.

Deceased was united in marriage with Marshall Morrow Nov 2, 1805. One son was born to this union, viz; Benjamin, who is a resident of Shawnee, Ok. She had been a member of the Christian church forr about fifty-five year.

On the morning of Aug 19 she arose in her usual health and in descending the stairs at her home preparatory to getting the morning meal, she fell and sustained injuries from which she died three hours later. She was a member of a family of nine childre. Those who still survive are Anna, wife of G.W.Morrow, of Athensville; Margaret, wife of A. R. Morrow, and W. T. Scott, both of the Greenfield vicinity; Mrs Mollie Piper, of Elmo, Mo; and Ed Scott, of Drexel, MO

The unexpected death of Mrs Morrow again forces us to realize that life and death walk hand and hand amid the busiest scenes of earth. Thereby we are made to halt and pay our respects to the destroying angel. Happy the one who alks with God and is prepared for the summons, "Come with me," From our midst is taken an ideal homemaker, kind to all with whom she came in contact and a woman who loved her husband, her child and home above all wordly things. To the bereaved ones the community extends its heartfelt sympathy; they should find comfort in the thought that they will be reunited forever in the yers to come. All that tread the earth will slumber in its bosom and at the last grand awakening on the other shore we will meet to part no more.

Funeral services were conducted at Union church on Sunday, Aug 22, Rev Barnett, of Carrollton, offciating. The intement was in the adjoining cemetery ARGUS 7-27-1915 (newspaper).
