Elizabeth was alive on 19 Oct 1696 when she participated in a deed with her husband, but his will [Bristol Probate 6:5] named a wife Sarah.
↑ Elizabeth's father's probate appears to say she is 6 years old the February prior to 27 Sep 1664, which would make her born about 1658 (here). The published abstracts of Essex probates indicates the same (here). However, according to TAG, p. 77:208, John Gladding m. 17 Jul 1667 Elizabeth Rogers, d/o Robert Rogers and Susanna ---, and that marriage is found in the Newbury records (p. 2:425). Thus, she could not have been born in 1658 but would need to have been roughly 10 years older. Inspecting the probate file, it is possible the digit one is lost due to falling in the fold of the paper, and hence it is assumed the probate file says she is sixteen years the previous February. This is the conclusion reached by the cited TAG article, but no discussion of the difficulty reading the document is given there. This has the additional benefit of resolving what appeared to be a conflict with brother Joshua, whose birth is recorded in 1658. the location of her birth is unknown. Her father's residence between 1642, when he lived in Boston, and 1650, when brother Robert is born in Newbury, is unknown per NEHGR, p. 140:205.
