Person:Elizabeth Myers (23)

I believe she is the daughter of Henry Valentine Myers and Catherine Hedrick. She is probably the 'Elizabeth Shankland' living with her brother in the 1860 census.

  In the 1860 census, Wm. J. Myers is living next door to David Parish in Weston, Nicholas Co.  He is 27, a farmer from Kentucky.  He is living with [his sister?] Elizabeth Shankland, 25, and [her?] children W. E. Shankland, 6, and F.W., male, 3, born Illinois; and E. K., 1, female; as well as M. A. Myers, male, 19.  {p.289?, dwelling #101}
 If so, she is probably the Elizabeth Sarah Myers who married David H. Shankland on 30 Sept 1852 in Nicholas Co., Kentucky.  She was 18 and David was 26.  According to a WorldConnect database, 'Elizabeth Meyers' was born in 1834, married David Shankland in 1852, had child Franklin, and died in 1890. {'Faith Graham', <wc.rootsweb.com>, 27 Jan 2004}
 She may also be the Elizabeth Shankland who married Henry C. Myers in 1866 in Nicholas Co. Kentucky. (IGI record, <familysearch.com>}
 In the 1870 census for Marengo, Nicholas Co., Kentucky, there are H. C. Myers, 41, farmer; Sarah 36; William 16; Frank 13; Mary 11 [Shanklands?]; and Benjamin 2, Jennie 1. {p.309} NOTE: They are next door to James Lock.
  In the 1880 census for Upper Blue Lick, Nicholas Co., Kentucky, there is a Henry Myers, age 57, a farmer from Kentucky (parents Kentucky).  His wife Elizabeth is 46, born Kentucky (parents Kentucky).  The children are Mollie, age 21; David, age 12; Elizabeth, 11; and Michael, 8 -- all born in Kentucky, parents Kentucky. {p.472 c}  They are next door to Edward Shankland and family.
