Elizabeth Waitman

RISINGSUN -- Funeral services for Elizabeth J Waitman, 80, of Maplewood, N .J, and formerly of Risingsun, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Scott-T rinity United Methodist Church, Risingsun, the Rev. Gus Christo-Baker offi ciating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, near Risingsun.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Harrold-Floriana F uneral Home, Fostoria.

Mrs. Waitman died Sunday, July 29, 2001 at Winchester Gardens, Maplewoo d, N.J

She was born Jan. 21, 1921 in Risingsun to Wilhelm and Clara (Leydorf) Mye rs. She married Bernard R Waitman on June 12, 1945 in Risingsun, and he di ed Feb. 24, 1959.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Suzan) Gorski, Kendall Park, N. J; and Mrs. Raj (Victoria) Tatta, West Orange, N.J; and four grandchildren .

Mrs. Waitman retired in 1984 as a business administration teacher at Lako ta High School. She also had taught for more than 30 years at Gibsonburg H igh School.

She graduated from Risingsun High School in 1939, and received a bachelor 's degree in business administration and education from Bowling Green Sta te University.

She was a member of Scott-Trinity United Methodist Church and its United M ethodist Women; Fremont Chapter of OES; and was a charter member of Kap pa Delta at BGSU.

Memorials may be made to the church or Parkinson's Foundation.
