"His {Caleb Page's] first wife died in 1740."
[This is consistent with his recorded remarriage in Haverhill in early 1742. Note however, that this source identifies the first wife incorrectly, as "Ruth Wallingford of Boston", which directly contradicts the Haverhill VRs, while having no obvious basis there. This appears to be some sort of clerical error by the author, as Sarah's cousin, Nathaniel Merrill married a Ruth Wallingford, but the cause for such confusion is not clear (no apparent proximity in the records, or in date).]
