Elizabeth Hawkins was born in 1791/93, PA; she died on 9 June 1857, Indiana Twp, Allegheny Co, PA; she was buried in Pine Creek Cemetery, O’Hara Twp, Allegheny Co, PA. Elizabeth’s tombstone reads “Elizabeth Hawkins died 1857 @66Y”, which means if true she was born in 1791; however, the Indiana Twp, Allegheny Co, PA Federal Census, dated 13 September 1850, p67 h/h 192/192, showed her living within her parent’s household as Elizabeth Hawkins 57 PA, which means if true she was born in 1793. This is the only census where Elizabeth was named. We have three pieces of information to show her existence, the 1850 census, her tombstone, and her inclusion as daughter in the will of William Davis Hawkins, written on 17 May 1853. Her portion of the will was “Elizabeth to be paid $60 per year during her lifetime after mother Ann dies; this was to be paid in monthly payments of $5 from issues and profits of Lot #21". There is no existence of a marriage for Elizabeth so we believe she was unmarried and that is why she lived with her parents.
