    Her uncle Samuel left to Elizabeth Hamilton Macatee his share of his brother William's estate (H:292). She was listed in the 1790 census of Harford Co., MD with five sons, six daughters, another man, and six slaves. Elizabeth died in Harford Co., MD on 4/17/1824 and was buried next to her husband. The names of their children and dates of birth are from a record found in the Maryland Historical Society Library in Baltimore, MD. The same information was later obtained from family members.

    Her grandson, H. I. Macatee said she died by fire while filling her fireplace pipe with coal and falling down in the fire.
