    Children of John Hale and Bethia Bosowrth [sic, obvious typo]: 4) Elizabeth Hale, b. 2 [sic, records say 12] Jul 1756, d. 25 Dec 1839, m. 12 Feb 1778 Benjamin Hilton [footnote says this is from town records, while admitting Kelton is probably correct, but published records, which probably represents a more expert interpretation of the handwriting, actually say Kelton, suggesting this was a transcription error. This is published by a family association, and probably represents pooled research of amateurs of various experience levels. Naturally it begs the question: how did they find a death date if they had the wrong married name?]
