The Buckhannon Delta and Knight Errant Thurs May 11, 1905

The funeral of Mrs Elizabeth Bassel was held at the M E Church here (I assume Buckhannon) Sunday afternoon, ........ The interment was made at the old Bassel family cemetery near town. Mrs. Bassel died in Denver, Colorado, about three months ago and a short account of her death was published in these columns at the time. She was well known to all the older citizens of Upshur Co, and leaves four children to mourn her death. (Tomstone insc: Elizabeth A. Guseman (notice difference in spelling) Bassel, Mar 29, 1823-Feb 28, 1905, w/o Benjamin Bassel.)
