c 5. Norris McCombs, born March 11, 1813, died in Pittsburgh, April 24, 1887.
Was a farmer for a number of years. Established in the hardware business in Pittsburgh, also in Dubuque, Iowa. Returned to Pittsburgh and remained there until his death. Was a member of East Liberty Presbyterian Church.
Married to ELIZABETH FERREE, 1843.
A descendant of Madame Ferree, (of the French Huguenots,) who came to this country about 1688 and settled on land near Philadelphia given to her by William Penn.
