Will of Elizabeth (Crouch) Brasher: Know all men by these presents that I, Elizabeth Brasher, of Crittenden County and State of Kentucky, being in illhealth, but of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament . . .

1st item. I give and bequeath to my beloved daugher Sarah Boaz: one bedstead, bed and bedding, which was given to her on the 27th of March 1883.

2nd. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved grandchildren, sons and daughters of my son Thomas Brasher, twenty-five dollars each to be paid as soon as can be.

Item, I will and wish the remainder of my household goods to be equally divided between my children and grandchildren.

Item, I give and bequeath to my beloved son James W Brasher, the farm and land that I own, that I live upon, in Crittenden County, State of Kentucky, to have and to hold the same to him, his heirs and assigns forever.

And lastly, I do nominate and appoint my said son James W Brasher to be the exectuor of my last will and testament.

In testimony where of, I, the said Elizabeth Brasher have to this my last will and testament subscribed my mark and affixed my seal this 28th day of December 1872.

Elizabeth died 20 September 1883. The will (and its codicil of 27 March 1883) was produced in open court, 8 Oct 1883 and again on 10 Oct 1883 and proved by oaths of T C and Rachel Campbell to be the last will and testament of Elizabeth Brasher, dec'd. Recorded 22 Nov 1883.
