In the lawsuit in Cooper County, Missouri, involving the estate of her father William, (Sep. 1847), it states: "Elizabeth, daughter of said William dec[ease]d who intermarried with John Longan since deceased." It is not clear whether it is Elizabeth or John who is deceased, although from the wording of the rest of this same entry, it appears to be John. There is a Betsy Longan, age 50, b. Tenn, apparently a widow, on the 1850 US Census in Cooper County, along with 6 children.
