[Note: not only is the 1723 birth in conflict with the birth of sister Sarah, the context of p. 8 where it is found is a bunch of births from 1716 to 1720 mostly. Page 18 is assumed to contain the correct date, and the 1721 date is the one used by, say, Source:Butrick, Richard Porter. Butrick, Butterick, Buttrick in the U.S.A., 1635-1978. The original of the p. 18 entry is probably a copy of the true original, rewritten so the whole family could be in one place. The original of p. 8 does not seem to be online, so we cannot tell if it was misread by the compilers of the VRs; or if p. 8 actually says 1723, and the p. 18 copy is a correction made by Joseph Baker when he copied it to the book dated 1 Jan 1728/29.]
