Obituary

Ishpeming- Elizabeth M. Harris, age 87 of 584 Mather Ave. Ishpeming, passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Mather Nursing Center where she been a resident for the past 3 days.

Elizabeth was born February 5, 1921 in Ishpeming to Thomas & Minnie (Carlyon) Boase. She resided in Ishpeming her entire life. She enjoyed reading, ceramics and going for her Sunday rides.

Elizabeth is survived by 2 children: Kaye (Hayden) Dunn of Ishpeming and Richard (Carol) Harris of Ishpeming, a brother Richard (Bertha) Boase of Tennessee, 2 grandchildren: Jerry (Angela) Harris of Ishpeming, Douglas Lyyski of Kenosha, WI, 8 great grandchildren Cooper & Rylee Harris, Tara, Nisa, Quintin & Travis Lyyski, Albert Montijo and Cathy (Lee) Serrano, 2 great grandchildren Dante Lyyski and Melanie Serrano, along with many nieces & nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Wesley “Ted” Harris, a son Thomas W. Harris, a granddaughter Diane E. Harris, a sister Myrtle Penhale, & 4 brothers: Melville, Raymond, Kenneth and William Boase.

Funeral services will be held 11:00a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2008 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Lindenberg officiating. Interment will take place at the Ishpeming Cemetery.

Friends may call the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 5:00-8:00pm and again of Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Harris, Doug Lyyski, Albert Montijo, Roger Solberg, Jack Boase and Ted Jastremski

A luncheon will be held at the Wesley United Methodist Church following the service.

Memorial considerations may be directed to the Ishpeming Cancer Society in memory of Elizabeth.
