  2.   Source:Anderson, Robert Charles. Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, p. 83 on William Baker, notes that Source:Snow, Nora Emma. Snow-Estes Ancestry, identifies John Russell's 2nd wife as d/o William and Joan Baker [Vol. 2, p. 286, no justification given]. Anderson says this would make her "much older than the other children". Anderson also notes that Elizabeth is "not referred to in his estate papers" is more convincing. But "in his will William Baker directs that his daughter Bethia be place with 'Brother Russell of Woburn'". As Anderson points out, Baker and Russell were both early Baptists, and it is very likely brother is a church term, and it is not clear if this placement is due to a relationship with brother Russell's wife, or due to brother Russell's own character as a trusted church brethren. Still, Anderson suggests Elizabeth "may be" a sister of William Baker, but clearly that is speculative and sister, sister-in-law (widow of a brother?), or even unrelated, seem to all be possible.
