  3.   The DAR applications appear to have conflated two Elisha Horns, one born perhaps in 1766, and one who married Sophia Meador. The Elisha Horn born about 1766 was living in South Carolina with a family of 7 children in 1800 and COULD NOT have married Sophia Meador in the 1790s. The Elisha Horn who married shortly before 1800, can be tracked by census records to Anson County, North Carolina, and is probably a grandson, not son of Ephraim Horn, the Revolutionary War Patriot.
