30 Mar 1756 Thomas Winslow of Harwich was appointed administrator of estate of Elisha Cobb of Harwich, House Carpenter. Inventory 19 May 1756, mentions but does not name widow. [Barnstable Probate 7:417, 9:202, 9:204]
[This source notes other documents that establish this Elisha Cobb as a housewright or carpenter. Note some websites claim a date in 1752 based on the settlement of father-in-law's Josiah Harding's estate, but the fact that a different guardian was appointed for Elisha's son's share of the Harding estate, does not necessarily imply that Elisha the father was deceased at that time. Elisha had certainly died by 20 May 1759 when his 2nd wife was called a "ye widow Bethia Cobb" when she transferred to the Harwich Church (MD, p. 19:252).]
