Jacob Gerrish's regt.; enlisted July 28, 1778; discharged Dec. 31, 1778; service, 5 mos. 6 days, travel included; company detached from Hampshire Co. militia to guard stores at Springfield and Brookfield for 6 months from July 1, 1778; also, same co. and regt.; muster roll dated Springfield, Aug. 28, 1778.

1790 Census:
Elijah listed in 1790 Census living in Hampshire County, Leverett Twp. Listed in 1808 census in Geauga County, Cleveland Township, OH, pg 015. A Henry Gunn is listed in same county but in Mentor townsip in the 1830 census, pg 267. A son? A Noble K. Gunn is listed in 1840 census for Geauga County, Auburn Township, pg 143; and a william Gunn is listed in 1804 census in Geauga County, Burton Township. Geauga County is in Ohio.
