Weimer Service Set Saturday

Smithville - Services for E. Platte Weimer, 77, a Smithville resident most of his life, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville. Rev. J. E. Wheeling will have charge, and burial will be in Smithville. Mr. Weimer was born at Rittman Jan. 10, 1885, to Eli and Anna Sinclair Weimer and had worked as a teacher and a farmer. He was a member of Rittman First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Wirth, and sisters, Mrs. Maude English of Smithville, Mrs. Lloyd Mowery of Ashland, Mrs. Paul McDavitt of Smithville, and Mrs. Raymond Drushel of Akron. A son and sister died previously. Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
