LIDDELL -- Eleanor Liddell, 74, of 865 Mix Ave., Hamden, died November 18, 1998 at the Ct. Hospice in Branford. She was a resident of Hamden since 1950. Mrs. Liddell was born in Princeton, NJ, December 7, 1923, daughter of the late Arthur and Eleanor Brown Pack. She graduated from Smith College with a BA in 1946. She had been a poet for many years and had published three books of poetry. She was active with the Spring Glen Church for over 30 years and had been a volunteer for the Red Cross, FISH and the Girl Scouts. She leaves daughters, Catherine Xxxxx. of Western, Ma., Margaret A. Xxxxx of Hamden CT and Susan Xxxxx of Gardiner, Me.; sister, Margaret P. McKinley of Santa Fe; brothers, Charles L. Pack of Los Alto Hills, CA and Vernon Pack of Westerville, OH. She also leaves her step-father, Dr. Frank C. Hibben of Albuquerque; and two grandsons. She was predeceased by three sons, William A. Liddell III, Thomas Liddell and Charles Woodworth Liddell.
