Hi Patty, I got in contact with Wendy and she said she would redo the invoice. She said in a previous e-mail that if I had the page and vol. right on the marriage it would be half the price. But if she had to go looking for it, it would be 62$. She must had forgotten that I gave the information to her. I have a feeling that if she goes looking for anything else that it will be the 62. Don't send any money yet, wait until we see if she can find something else on the Hall's.

I went looking on the internet and the most I found on the Hall's was on the LDS site:

1881 Pershore Holy Cross Worcester census: Thomas Hall, 50, Born: Wyre Piddle Worcester, Shopkeeper Mary Hall, Wife 44 Born: Wyre Piddle " Alfred Francis Hall, Son 17 Born: " , Gardener (Edwin James Hall, Brother 35 B: " Gardener) Ann Jane Hall, niece 23 Born: Gibraltar , Assists in Shop

Looks like the two witnesses on the marriage record, Francis Hall and Ann Jane Hall was Edwin's nephew and niece.

I also found this - Thomas Hall christened 1 Mar 1832 Wyre Piddle, Worcester, Eng. (Father: John Hall and Mother: Anne.)

Wendy said she could search for the birth record of Edwin Hall. What I think she is in reference to is the Baptism record and the most that they have on them is date of the christening, child's name, Fathers and Mothers first name, fathers last name, where child was born, and father's occupation. (I have some on the Munford's) So, I don't think the birth (baptism) record will help. Edwin's record will be like Thomas's - All it will say is father and mother: John and Anne Hall. I think a census record is what we will need - if we can find one with Edwin in his fathers house, it will give the age of John and Anne Hall and where they were born. And then we might can find a marriage record on John and Anne Hall and it will give her maiden name.

This is where Jean or Jenny might can help, it is my understanding that they can order English census through their church (LDS) and If they can get a 1871 or 1861 census record from them, for the town Pershore or Wyre Piddle (they are close together) then they might can find Edwin and John. This is how I got all the records on the Munford's- a cousin Emily Munford said she did that at a LDS church library close to her house.

If I was still in Texas I could do it because there was a

church library just down the road from the house. I'll look around here and see if there is one here in Jackson. Ahh, the search continues.

E- you later, Debbie

From Jean Edwards 3/3/2007:

Thanks for getting back to me.Today I went to the Wayne Historical Society Library to try to findnaturalization papers for Edwin James Hall and Frances Helena Manders Hall.I don't think women were naturalized, though, there were none on themicrofilm.Anyway, I found Edwin James's birthdate: 6 June 1849. It also says thathe came through the port of New York City on 25 October 1886.He declared his intention to become naturalized on Feb. 13, 1901, but hisactual naturalization was not on the microfilm. They said some of thepapers were lost.Anyway, just wanted you to make sure you have the birthdate. I will see ifI can find the ship he came to America on, and if his wife and baby werewith him. If he really came in Oct of 1886, and Mary Alice's birthday wasreally August 12, 1886, then she was born in England. (Or else on theship). Mom
