Edward Sulyard, Esquire, of Otes in High Laver, Essex, of the noted Catholic family of Sulyard in that county. He was a lawyer and member of Lincoln's Inn. His father, Sir John Sulyard, MP of Wetherden, Suffolk, was a noted lawyer at the time of Edward IV, and served as Puisne Judge of the King's Bench 1484-88, MP for Dunwich, 1459, and for Hindon 1472-1475, Commissioner of Peace and Array in Suffolk, 1461-66, Justice of the Peace for Suffolk from 1461 until his death in 1488, and was also tutor to Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward V). http://www.geneajourney.com/crnwllis.html#elizcwallis References
