In the name of God Amen. I Edward Perkins of Bath County and State of Kentucky being very sick & weak in body but of perfect mind memory do make & ordain this my last will & testament. That is to say First I give and bequeath to my oldest son Edmund Perkins all that part of my land and real estate which lies above a certain line. Beginning at a beech tree standing on the bank of Licking River. Marked as a corner tree and running thence a Southwardly course with the old fence row which was formerly the division line between Edmund's place and my own and to continue on the same direction on a straight line and my plantation and through my land to the line between me and Absolom Hunt. Secondly I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Susannah Perkins all my land and real estate lying within the following boundary (to wit). Begining at the Beech tree above mentioned on the bank of the river and running on the same line above mentioned and to continue on the same course to my back line adjoining Absolom Hunt's thence westwardly with said back line between me and Absolom Hunt to a small Elm tree on the ridge thence northwardly on a straight course to the upper corner of the fence on the lick branch and to continue on with the fence to the top of the hill where it joins my fence thence to run along the Cross fence between Elijah's place and mine to the lower corner thence turning to the left and running down a certain gully on a straight course to the river thence up the river with themeanders to the beginning which shall be hers during her lifetime and thence to be disposed of at her discretion. Also I will that my wife Susannah Perkins shall hold and possess all and every species and article of my personal estate without sale or distribution during her natural life only such part thereof as in here in otherwise disposed of and what will be necessary to pay my just debts. Thirdly I give to my youngest son Elijah Perkins all my land lying below the last mentioned boundary which given to my wife to be his forever. Fourthly I give to my daughter Elizabeth Flin one twenty five dollar side saddle to be made out of my personal estate. Fifthly I give to my little Grand daughter Peggy Vanlandingham who now lives with me one twenty five dollar side saddle to be made out of my personal estate. Sixthly I give to my son Thomas Perkins twenty shillings to be made out of my personal estate and that he shall have a quiet & peaceable possesion of all my wifes real estate which is here in willed to her during her lifetime to manage and take care of the same agreeable to him direction and to provide for her all ????sustenance. Lastly I do hereby constitute make & ordain my son Edmind Perkins & Thomas Perkins the sole executors and do hereby utterly disalow revoke and disarm all and every other ???
