OBITUARY: John Vitus Dietlein & Eva M. Lang Descendants Compiled October 1990 By Damian L. Dietlein Page 15 Brandt, Edward R. Bay City Edward R. Brandt, age 77 years, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 27, 1985 at Bay Medical Care Facility following a lingering illness. He was born in Pennsylvania on September 20, 1908, but had been a Bay County resident most of his lifetime. Mr. Brandt retired in 1970 from Mahar Oldsmobile in Midland. He had previously been employed at Labadie Oldsmobile and Dana Good Oldsmobile in Bay City. He was a member of Failth Lutheran Church. His wife Maude M., died January, 1982. Surviving are two sons, William Brandt of Warren, Michigan and Gary Brandt of Bay City, six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Roland (Violet) Kernstock of Bay City and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Brandt also has a deceased brother August Brandt and a deceased sister, Irma Lake. The funeral service will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles E. Bever officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorials for Faith Lutheran Church and the Bay Medical Facility are available at the funeral home. Friends may call at Stapish West after 6 o'clock Monday evening and until 11 o'clock Wednesday morning when Mr. Brandt will be taken to the church and lie in state from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
