    Commissioned the Deeds Carillon in Dayton, Ohio, a tall shaft with a chandelier of 32 bells, inspired by the one in Burges. It was dedicated on 23 August 1942.

    First passenger in the Deeds tri-motored plane Kingbird, and first woman to fly from Dayton to Columbus
