Commissioned the Deeds Carillon in Dayton, Ohio, a tall shaft with a chandelier of 32 bells, inspired by the one in Burges. It was dedicated on 23 August 1942.
"The Waltons, Mrs. Deeds' ancestors, were of English stock and were among the early settlers of Greene county"
First passenger in the Deeds tri-motored plane Kingbird, and first woman to fly from Dayton to Columbus "The Waltons were orthodox Quakers, representing a continuous line that sprang from William Penn's colony in Pennsylvania".
