Friday, January 5, 2007 Edith Emogene Quinn Hall, 92, of Holcomb, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Ark. Born Aug. 22, 1914, in Martinville, Ark., daughter of the late Joe Edwin Quinn and Mary Etta Luther, she was a home economist at the University of Mo. Extension Center, a member of the First Baptist Church in Holcomb and a member of the Chalk Bluff Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. On Sept. 22, 1928, in Center Ridge, Ark., she married Jim Albert Hall, who preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1978. She was also preceded in death by one son, J.A. Hall, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Flava Blanche Hall, Amy Grace Williamson, Hearl Lane Quinn, Ruby Lee Hurst, J.E. Quinn, Nadine Emily French and Harold Fiser Quinn, and two great-grandsons, Adam Boyce and William Alan Blakemore Hays. Survivors include two daughters, Frieda Blakemore and husband, Joe, of Holcomb and Joann Carter, of Kennett; eight grandchildren, J.A. Hall, III, of Thorndale, Texas, Leslie Denise Van Hoorebeke, of Highlands, Texas, Joe David, Mark Quinn and Roger Kevin Blakemore, all of Campbell, Mo., Dianna Suzanne Blakemore of Van Buren, Mo., Greg Stephen Carter, of Navarre, Fla., and Angela Jo Smith, of Jonesboro, Ark.; 14 great-grandchildren, J.A. Hall, IV, Amanda Michelle, Matthew Quinn and Grace Elizabeth Hall, all of Thorndale, Melissa Denise Gindratt, of Highlands, Erin Elizabeth, Ashley Nicole, Melissa Ann, Michelle Quinn, Skylar Sue and Kevin Logan Blakemore, all of Campbell, Joe Andrew Blakemore, of Columbia, Mo., and Tisha Michelle Henderson and Jacob Ray Smith, both of Jonesboro; two step-great-grandchildren, Brandi Lanae Bader, of Campbell and Sarah Ranae Brown, of Chicago, Ill.; two great-great-grandchildren, Danielee Rose and Westin Dean Henderson, both of Jonesboro and two step-great-great-grandchildren, William Elijah and Emma Caroline Bader, both of Campbell. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at the Landess Funeral Home Chapel in Campbell, Mo. with the Rev. Randy Vaughn and Bro. Don Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Adam Hays and William Hays Memorial Scholarship Fund at the First Community Bank. References
