Edith Mitchell was baptised on 27th May 1896 at St Paul's Church in Warwick, daughter of Annie Mitchell, formerly Haley, and her husband William Thomas Mitchell, a porter. Edith was the eldest of the couple's three children. The 1901 and 1911 census both find Edith living at home with her parents and brothers at 1 Walls Court (or Walls Terrace), Parkes Street, Warwick, a four roomed house. By 1911 she was working as a nurse maid. Edith has yet to be researched after 1911.
