Obituary[8] 13 Apr 1949 JAY---Mrs. Edith Hinkley, 87, widow of Laroy Hinkley, died Tuesday evening at the home of her son, George Hinkley at Jay. She was born at Phillips, May 17, 1861, the daughter of William and Lucrecia Harnden.
Mrs. Hinkley attended schools at Phillips and was married in 1879. For many years she had lived at Lynn, Mass. and at Wilton.
Surviving are two sons, George of Jay and Reginald, Phillips; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Crockett, Wilton, and Mrs. Grace Sedgely, Phillips.
