Mrs. William Winans

GREENE - Mrs. William (Edith Gunn) Winans, 75, died at 2:30 a.m. today at the Faber Rest Home in Fowler [Twp].
Born Dec. 23, 1869 in Greene, the daughter of Solomon and Hannah Churchill Gunn, Mrs. Winans had lived here her entire life. She was a member of the Christian Church and the Royal Grange of Greene.
She leaves, beside her husband, five children, Mrs. Mable <sic> Parke of Warren, Mrs. Verna Hartman of Greene, Walter of Manton [Canton], Aylmer of Cortland, Bernard of Mantua: 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A grandson, Harley Winans of Cortland, is now home on a 14-day leave.
The body is at the Love Funeral Home, Cortland, where the family will meet friends Friday evening from 7:30 to 9. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. George VanWingerden in charge. Burial will be in Greene.

Mrs. William Winans

Funeral services for Mrs. William (Edith) Winans, Greene, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home, Cortland, with Rev. George Van Wingerden in charge. Burial was in Greenlawn <sic> Cemetery, Greene.
Pallbearers were Elda and Frank Churchill, John Armstrong, Jim and Harley Winans and Eugene Hartman.
