Edith Clifton was Thomas Harold/Harrell Evans' first wife. She reportedly passed away. Thomas then married Edith's Sister, Sarah Clifton - Hill. Thomas was also Sarah's second husband. 

Unknown if Thomas Harold/Harrell Evans had any children.

Thomas and Sarah had eight children, most of whom were born in Johnston County, North Carolina. The family then migrated to Northern Tuscaloosa County Alabama. The place they settled came to be known as Evanstown, which is atop Ol Tyro Mountain. At least one of the sons gave land to build Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church and cemetery.
