According to Jody Dillard: Obituary for Edgar Lee Curtis in the Fresno Bee on Wednesday, April 5, 1952 page 10B EDGAR LEE CURTIS, 75, of 3528 Illinois Avenue, a retired rancher, died today in a local hospital where he was under treatment for influenza, complicated by heart disease. Curtis was a native of Dansville, Mich., and came to Fresno in 1888 from South Dakota. At various times before his retirement about 10 years ago, he ranched in the Selma district, Kutner Colony and the Kerman district. He is survived by a son, Walter Lee Curtis of Honolulu; a daughter, Mrs. Ida May Harlan of Mesquite, Tex., five grandchildren and a brother, Stephen H. Curtis of the Clovis area. The Yost & Webb Mortuary will announce the arrangements for the funeral services. Funeral Notice in the Fresno Bee, Thur April 5, 1951 page 19B CURTIS--In Fresno, April 4, 1951, Edgar Lee Curtis, beloved father of Walter Lee Curtis of Honolulu and Mrs. Ida May Harlan of Texas; brothe rof Stephen Curtis of Fresno. Five grandchildren also survive. A native of Michigan, aged 76 years. Funeral services will be conducted in the Yost & Webb Chapel, Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Stanley Brown officiating. Interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Jody: I am not sure if Mountain View Cemetery and Belmont Cemetery are the same. I have him listed as being buried in Belmont Cemetery. References
