Note: From page 252, Paine Family Record, Freeman family record. Recorded with the DAR. Lt. Ebenezer Cook was born in Connecticut, but was a member of the Massachusetts militia during the Revolutionary war. In the first US census of 1790 he is living in Stockbridge, Berkshire County, Mass. He is listed in the records of First Congregational Church, Stockbridge, as being a Deacon in 1785. By 1810 he has moved to Oneida county, New York, where he is listed with an Ebenezer Cook, Jr. |
