Ebenezer4 Billings (Ebenezer,3 Ebenezer,2 William1), of Stonington, born at Stonington 20 Mar. 1710/11 and baptized there 27 May 1711, died 3 July 1759. … He was ensign, in May 1751, in the Second Stonington Company, captain, in Mar. 1756, in the First Connecticut Regiment, and captain, in Feb. 1757, in the Eighth Connecticut Regiment. In his will, dated 3 July 1759 and proved 21 July 1759, he mentions his wife Sarah, his sons Sanford, Gilbert, and Elisha, his daughters Elizabeth Stanton, Phebe Prentice, and Mary Billings, and his daughter-in-law Lucy Geer."
