E. Madeline Toliver, 70, of Pumpkin Run Road died Thursday at her home. Born March 30, 1931, in Elkhorn, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Laura Honaker Cook. She was the widow of Bill Toliver. She was a homemaker and a member of Parksville Knob Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Zella Turner of Danville; a son, Roger Lee Gilpin of Danville; two sisters, Zella Jones of Orlando Fla., and Elaine Kennedy of Bluefield, W.Va.; three brothers, Carl Cook of Indiana, Paul Cook of Parksville and Ernest Cook of Bluefield; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Keith Willoughby and Harley Humfleet. Burial will be in Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Denny Thompson, Glenn Steinberger, Ervin Pike, Bobby Cook, Brad Wilson and Junior Worthington. Honorary pallbearers are Kim, Justin, Lindsey, Joe and Dustin Turner, Amanda and Sherri Woodrum. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday. Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice or Alum Springs Church of God building fund.
