    The Right Hand Panel of the White Monument, Sorbie Old Churchyard, identified as No. 22 on the Chapple/Birchman map of the cemetery, reads:

    "Dunbar White M.A. M.D. L.R.C.S.B., also son of William White and Margaret McGowan, died at Whithorn, 27th Dec. 1877, aged 73 years.
    Susan Davidson his wife died in Edinburgh, 4th Oct 1894, aged 81 years.
    Their son Charles James died at Port Mackay, Queensland, 19th May 1867, aged 21 years."
    Their son William died at Monte, Buenos-Ayres, 2nd Aug. 1894 aged 52 years."
