Douglas James Campbell Hutcheon 1916-1999
Douglas James Campbell Hutcheon, of Monction, passed away at The Monction Hospital on Thursday, July 29, 1999, at the age of 82 years.
Born in Aberdeen, Scotland on December 20, 1916, he was the son of the late James and Jean (Campbell) Hutcheon. Douglas served overseas with the Carlton York Regiment from 1939-1944; was retired from the Canadian National Railway as a carman, where he was employed from 1945-1980. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edna (Richardson)Hutcheon of Moncton; one daughter, Jean McAfee of Saint John, NB; one son, Roy Douglas Hutcheon and his wife Michelle of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Muriel Taylor of Toronto and Addie Hutcheon of Moncton; two brothers, Jock Hutcheon and his wife Marie of Hamilton, Ont and Brian Hutcheon and his wife Betty of Riverview; five grandchildren, Susan, Karen, Greg, Nathan and Ariel; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Betty Hutcheon and one brother Alex Hutcheon.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, with visitation on Saturday, July 31, 1999 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers memorial Chapel on Sunday August 1, 1999 at 2 pm. with Rev. Kelvin Ironside officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
