McDonald-Service Wedding at Presbyterian Manse, Milton

Rev. John Riddell officiated in the Presbyterian Manse, Milton, on July 6th when Dorothy Service, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Service became the bride of Russell McDonald, son of Mrs. Angus McDonald and the late Mr. McDonald.

The bride was charming in a street length dress of white sheer with gathered bodice and white accessories. She carried red roses and forget-me-nots.

Mrs. Emmerson Wilson as matron of honor, wore a street length dress of pink sheer and pink accessories and carried red roses and forget- me-nots. The groom was attended by Mr. Emmerson Wilson.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom?s sister. Mrs. Edwin Currie received in a white dress with blue accessories and was assisted by the groom?s mother in a rose dress with navy accessories.

After a short wedding trip the young couple will reside at Milton Heights. Guests were present from Rockwood, Acton, Georgetown and Milton

Family Party for Brothers? Birthday

On Saturday evening a week ago, a very pleasant part was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell McDonald, to celebrate the birthdays of Russell and Archie McDonald. They received some lovely gifts.

There was five violin players, Garnet Winter, guitar player; Mrs. Dorothy McDonald, piano player; Les McPhedram, Acton, gave some selections on the bagpipes.

The usual lunch was served.

Guest were present from Georgetown, Acton, Everton, Moffat, Milton. Also Miss Beverley Langille from Nova Scotia.

Suddenly, after a brief illness, on Saturday October 25, 2003 at the William Osler Health Cenre, Georgetown Campus. Dorothy in her 76th year, beloved wife of the late Russell McDonald. Beloved mother of LIVING (LIVING), LIVING (LIVING McKenna), LIVING (LIVING Flynn), the late Rosemary Brown (Stuart Walker), LIVING (LIVING), LIVING (LIVING), LIVING (LIVING Layton), LIVING (LIVING) and LIVING (LIVING Keir). Cherished grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by grandsons Trevor and Gary. Dear sister of LIVING Hamilton, LIVING Ferrier, George, Archie and LIVING Windsor. Also predeceased by her brother Alex and by her sister Elvira Parchem. Dorothy will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Freinds were received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, north of Maple Avenue, Georgetown, 905-877-3631 on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral and committal service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday October 28th, 2003 at 11AM. Cremation. In memory contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated
