  3. Stafford, Morgan Hewitt. Genealogy of the Kidder Family : Comprising the Descendants in the Male Line of Ensign James Kidder, 1626-1676, of Cambridge, p. 8, gives birth of Dorothy as 29 Jan 1651/52. It is not clear what the basis is, since it appears in neither town nor church records, as can be seen from cited sources. Sister Hannah has birth recorded 1 Mar 1650/51, and brother James 3 Jan 1653/54, so this date seems too close to Hannah, possible, but barely. Even Jun instead of Jan (a common misreading) would be more reasonable. Until the basis of this date can be found, it seems doubtful.
