Mrs. Johnston, Retired Music Teacher, Dies
Mrs. W. Denver (Dorothy) Johnston, 87, 5177 Mahoning NW, a retired music teacher, died at 12:35 a.m Friday at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Johnston was a piano teacher in the Champion area, and had previously taught music in the Jewett School System. She retired in 1960.
She was born Sept. 23, 1887, in Jewett, the daughter of Barkley S. and Elizabeth Andrews Fenimore.
A graduate of the Dana Institute of Music, she was a member of the Champpion Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, W.Denver Johnston, whom she mar4ried Sept. 11, 1911; a daughter, Mrs. John (Lorraine) Nolan of Los Gatos, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mazie Blinn of Warren; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Champion Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Champion Township Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
The family requests material contributions take the form of contributions to the organ fund of Champion Presbyterian Church.
