Doris M. Lauchnor, 98, formerly of Schnecksville, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Alton Lauchnor, who passed away in 1978. Born in Slatington May 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Mary Ann (Hallman) Hughes. She graduated from Slatington High School and attended East Stroudsburg University. Doris was an athlete in many things, especially swimming and gymnastics. She was a fun-loving person who was always up for the next adventure in life, and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Slatington.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Ronald J. Lauchnor and his wife Ruth Ann (Hansen), Bonnie L. (Lauchnor) and husband James E. West and Rick Alton Lauchnor; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her late husband, she was predeceased by her brother Richard Hughes, and longtime companion Harold Schneck.
